Ginseng Bonsai Ficus tree (Ficus Retusa) Also known as Banyan Fig and Taiwan Ficus. The Retusa has small dark green leaves which alternate up the stem and which are more oval than the Benjamina. Grey to reddish bark dotted with small horizontal flecks, similar to tiger-like markings. All have heavy trunks with exposed aerial roots. Among the most tolerant, versatile and trouble-free bonsai trees for indoor use. The Ginseng Ficus Tree below is a 10 years old specimen 7" tall Suitable 6" x 8" humidity tray is recommended.

Below is a very interesting Ficus Tree Retusa and has light green leaves which alternate up the stem and which are more oval than the Benjamina. Grey to reddish bark dotted with small horizontal flecks, similar to tiger-like markings. Heavy trunk with terrific aerial roots. Among the most tolerant, versatile and trouble-free bonsai trees for indoor use. 32 years old. 18"x12"x29". Potted in a 14" brown rectangular mica container as shown. Suitable 14.5"x10.5"humidity tray is recommended. The tree below is one of my favorite ficus trees
