Chinese Figurines the Mudman or Mudmen

In the early 1950's, the Chinese Figurine known as the Mudman or Mudmen started a new Mudman era and this has remained until this present time.  The more modern figurines do not seem to have the same individuality as the ones which in the previous time were handmade. This has created a sense of the character in these figures being lost. Although in saying this they have remained a popular figure for the true Bonsai enthusiast making these Chinese Figurine Mudmen wonderful gifts for those who enjoy their Bonsai Gardens.

The rocks selected for this unusual arrangement are imported and washed in acid, making them strikingly unique. We then cut and cement the rocks to one side of the pot, leaving an ample well between them to hold water. A ceramic bridge is cemented to the rocks on either side. A miniature, glazed mud figurine which overlooks the water is also added and cemented in place. To complete the scene, a pagoda figurine is cemented to the stone located above the bridge. On the opposite side of this restful scene, we have selected for planting, a low maintenance, easy-to-care-for Ficus bonsai. The entire landscape is arranged in an attractive, glazed, imported ceramic container. 6 years old 9" - 11" tall
